Meet LaShun

LaShun Roy brings over 12 years of experience in the nonprofit and political sectors. She is a native of Troup, Texas and a graduate of The University of Texas at Tyler. Coming from a multiracial family, LaShun is a passionate advocate of bringing better opportunities for civic and political engagement to BIPOC communities, and amplifying AAPI voices in this country.

Most recently she was honored by her Alma Mater to receive a 40 under 40 award and in 2022 she received recognition from her rural community as a ‘2022 Iconic Woman of East Texas.’ She has served in leadership roles for various Civic organizations like Contest Every Race, MOVE Texas, Jolt Initiative, Ignite National and VoteRunLead. In addition to this, in her local community, LaShun has served as a poll worker during the elections, on the board of the Arts and Humanities Council of East Texas, as a Precinct Chair, and as a VDR to register voters across the state of Texas.
