Ramadan Mubarak ☪️🌙 @allgoqpoc @queermuslimsatx and @afssaustin are so excited to be hosting a Queer Muslims Ramadan Iftar Dinner.

When: April 6, 7-9:30 PM
Where: West China Tea House, 4706 N Interstate Hwy 35, Austin, TX 78751
(Parking is limited so carpooling or public transit is recommended & street parking can be found on 49th, 46th, Harmon Avenue, or the gravel lot on 46th street next to In-n-Out.)

All three of our organizations talk about the importance of community — Community is more than just a group of people. It serves as a protective factor. Community is what makes us feel understood, provides safety, cultivates joy, and connects us to life-saving resources.

Our collective goal is to create a safe and inclusive space for our community members to come together, share a meal, and celebrate the spirit of Ramadan during the upcoming holy month.

Allies and partners are welcome to come but please respect that this space is for queer muslims to break fast together!

We encourage folks to take COVID tests beforehand and to mask when possible and will try and have a few extra on hand if anyone needs one. Security on sight will be provided by @veterans_for_equality - let us know if you have any questions or concerns about the event and hope to see you there!
